Part 4 Defeating The Darkness“Hey Anthri!” Collin said. “You’re back!” “I’ve mapped out exactly 65.4862 square dragon miles of land.” Anthridos said. “Which is exactly 242.29894 square human miles. It is very simple. All you need to do is multiply the number of dragon miles by 3.7 and you get the number of human miles.”“Tran, look left!” Collin said and Tranacan emitted a huge ball of fire and even though the attackers were dragons they fled.Then Collin went into the house. It looked like he was looking for something. When he came out he went down and sat on a bench. When he sat down Lenna came and sat down beside him. She said “You okay? You look a little down.”Then Collin said, “It’s just that I’m bored. I don’t have anything to do. And according to the dragons, we should live five times as long as usual in the land of dragons. I don’t wanna live 380 more years bored. It’s been ten years since we got going into the north.”And then as if the speech were magic (which it probably was but we can never be sure) Collin, Lenna, Mark, Izzie, Dracos, Anthridos, Tranacan, Collin’s dad, and Collin’s mom ended up on the edge of a small town with a forest behind them.“We’re back here again?” Lenna asked. “Back where we started. Me and Collin.”“There was a second part of the prophecy. I didn’t read it when you two were there.” The Wiz said, pointing to Collin and Lenna.So they went to the prophecy room which you know about and on the wall was this:Ten years later Collin Roger Naptha, Lenna Robatha Gaten, Mark Aaron Refitan, Isabll Cren Troon, Collin's father and mother, and the dragons they met will go into the ripple forest and desroy the machine that was creating the darkness.And Mark translated:“Ten years later Collin Roger Naptha, Lenna Robatha Gaten, Mark Aaron Refitan, Isabel Cren Troon, Collin’s father and mother, and the dragons they met will go into the ripple forest and destroy the machine that was creating the darkness.” “Then let’s go into the forest.” Collin’s mom said. They walked out of the building and over to the forest and then the ground started shaking.“It’s an earthquake!” Izzie shouted. “Try to hang on to something!”They all got tossed into a clearing in the forest. Then a gigantic, Brown dragon arose out of the earth. It looked like a water Dragon except that it was Brown it was half way sticking out of the ground.“Run!” shouted Collin’s dad.“Ummmmm… can’t Dracos, Anthridos, and Tranacan fly us away?” Collin asked.Then two things happened: the humans said “Why didn’t we think of that?” And the dragons said, “Why did we not think of that?”(It’s just that dragons rarely use contractions. And if you ever managed to get to this world and you find one that does use contractions a lot, you have found an extremely rare dragon)So everybody got on the dragons and they flew away. Then the earth dragon sunk underneath the ground and uprooted a few trees. The dragons were flying and the Wiz said, “This is why is called the ripple forest.” They all looked down and they saw the trees were in rings like ripples in a pond.“Look! The center!” Shouted Izzie. “And there’s the machine that is creating the darkness.”The dragons landed. “Does anybody have a screwdriver and a hammer?” Mark asked. Collin’s dad gave the two tools to Mark. The Wiz gave instructions to Collin how to take it apart and handed him the hammer. “Look out!” Dracos shouted as the earth dragon appeared. Collin and the Wiz barely dodged a hit and the earth dragon hit the machine and broke it. The Dragon stopped attacking. “What happened?” It asked.“Well the machine you accidentally destroyed was controlling you so that you were attacking us.” Collin explained.“Oh sorry” she said.“That’s ok. It wasn’t your fault.” Izzie said.Then there was a flash of light and everyone was back in the land of dragons.The earth dragon said “I’m Roba”“Guys, we should do more fun stuff.” Collin said, “We’re in the middle of a land full of dragons! We can do almost anything, not to mention we’ll a lot live longer than usual. Let’s go!”“C’mon Dracos! Let’s go!” Lenna said. Dracos’s attention was focused on…well… I better not tell you.And everybody ran/flew off to celebrate.
